Paste a job
Found a job on LinkedIn, in a Facebook group or in a recruiter's email? Paste it, and it joins your list like any other job.
Last updated 31 October 2026
The Add a job card is on Jobs and Home. Paste one job link, or copy the whole posting and paste its text, then click Read job.
How it's read
| What you paste | How RolePort reads it | Needs AI? |
|---|---|---|
| A link from a supported hiring system | From the company's hiring system. RolePort also offers to follow the company | No |
| Any other job link | From the job details built into the page, or else the page's text | Only if the page has no job details |
| The posting's text | Your AI pulls out the title, company, location, work setup, salary and requirements | Yes, or fill in the fields yourself |
AI answers are checked. Any field the AI fills in has to appear word for word in the text. Anything that doesn't is left empty for you to fill in.
Check and save
You then review the fields and choose Save, Evaluate fit or Apply. Nothing is saved until you do. Use Back to change what you pasted. Pasting the same link or text again updates the same job.
What can't be read
- LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, Glassdoor and OnlineJobs.ph links aren't read, since their terms don't allow it. Copy the description from the page and paste the text instead.
- Private addresses such as
localhostor192.168…are refused. Only publichttp://andhttps://links work. - Some sites only show the job in a browser, or block automatic reading. If a link doesn't work, paste the text.
A link is read one at a time, at most once an hour, and RolePort follows at most 3 redirects and reads at most 2 MB.
Still open checks
Check again on the job's page checks whether the job is still open. A pasted link counts as closed if the page is gone, its closing date has passed, or it says it's no longer accepting applications. A saved job is also checked once a day when you open its page.
